Control Humidity
Humidity levels have more effect on comfort than temperature. De-humidify in the summer and humidify in the winter. Variable speed fan coils or furnaces can maintain humidity levels in your home all year long. Run a de-humidifier in the basement if the basement is humid. A damp basement can add humidity to the whole house. A dehumidifier in the basement will reduce the humidity levels in the home, making it more comfortable throughout the summer months.
